6 Gallon Electric Water Heater - E1F6US017V 120V
Hope it lasts
Had to purchase dialectric fittings separately. Hope I got the right ones. Although it is probably a price point issue, they should be included in the package to make sure the right ones are used. Used teflon tape to seal them and Tightened them down pretty hard to prevent leakage - always afraid of stripping threads when I do that. i used the fittings on the top of the heater for supply and outlet since some other reviewers said they had problems when removing plugs to use side mounted supply and outlet locations. Installed under a kitchen sink in a seasonal use cottage. Dont know if I will even try to remove and check the sacrificial diode since it is on the top and jard to get to in my installation. Just drain it at the end of the summer season and roll the dice on when it eats itself. The fact that this water heater has a drain is one of the reasons I went with it. Many of the smaller point of use heaters do not and I have to drain every fall to prev2nt freeze damage. would have given more stars, but who knows how long it will last?

Works good for my circumstance.
My main water heater had 40" of line to the kitchen sink and too much water wasted getting hot water.I cut this unit into my water line at a point near the kitchen sink and now have hot water pronto! A bit pricey for what it is but, reviews on tankless units warned me off. No problems w/install after mandatory 3 trips to Hdwe store for any plbg. job which I undertake! I just installed last week,so, jury still out on durability.

This product has good features
This water heater is working just fine but I've have only had it for a short time. However, I do have a Whirlpool refrigerator, washer and dryer that I've had for many years and I just love them. They all have great features and I would recommend this brand to all my friends.

GOOD LITTLE WATER HEATER
SO FAR SO GOOD. THIS WAS INSTALLED IN A BATHROOM OFF MY WOOD SHOP & WIFE'S POTTERY ROOM. WE'D HAD A STANDARD 40 GAL GAS HOT WATER HEATER THAT KEPT GOING THRU GAS VALVES & THERMOCOUPLES - SEALED UNITS JUST DON'T HOLD UP NOW. GAVE UP ON GAS & DIDN'T WANT TO INSTALL A 240 VOLT 30 AMP FULL SIZE HEATER. THOUGHT I'D GIVE THIS A TRY. IT INSTALLED SUPER EASY, I PUT IT UP ON A SHORT RAISED WOOD PLATFORM THAT I BUILT. THE WIFE INSTALLED THE ELECTRIC PORTION - MADE UP A HEAVY DUTY 12 GA CORD & CAP, PLUGGED INTO THE DEDICATED CIRCUIT FOR WASHER THAT ISN'T BEING USED ANYMORE. HEATED UP WITHIN 30 MIN OR SO FROM BEGINNING. NICE TO HAVE HOT WATER WITHOUT A LOT OF EXTRA WORK TO INSTALL. RECOMMEND ANYWHERE YOU WANT HOT WATER AT THE SOURCE - SHORT RUNS. WE'LL SEE HOW LONG THIS HOLDS UP.

Easy installation and start up
I found this product easy to install and it heated the water within 10-minutes of installation!!! Nice water heater at a fair price.

Works OK but poor reliability
Bought one of this in 2010 and it lasted less than 4 years before rusting out and leaking. Exchanged it under warranty at my local home improvement store. This heater certainly doesn't live up to what I thought were Whirlpool's high quality standards.

Good under sink size
Fits easily under the kitchen sink cabinets. Provides adequate hot water for washing dishes, dishwasher, etc. Easy to use top access connections for water and electric. Make sure to use a pan... my first unit leaked from the lower side connection.

Installed easily; heats well
Acquired heater to overcome long waits for hot water because of long feed line. Does the job we expected.
