Lowes had 4 in stock.
I took the only one that showed no carton damage
When I opened it the top was damaged
Returned to store and took 2nd choice - small hole in carton - small dent toward bottom - Thinking how badly the last two cartons looked, I installed this one.

I hope it last longer than the previous one
This is a replacement of the exact same electric water heaterwhich only lasted 6 years and 2 mouths. It was professsionly installed be me a registed architect inFl. and Ma.

this product is easy to install and this is the 2nd time.
I found this waterheater easy to install and I replaced my previous waterheater with the same model, the last one lasted 7 years and the water in florida is rough on waterheaters. I am very pleased with it.

this is a good product
We did not read full instrutions. We dry fired the hotwater heater. We had to install a new heating element. Make sure to fill water tank before you turn on the power. Overall the product is a good purchase, just don't make the same mistake we did.

good retro fit
seemed to be installer friendly and fit in the very tight confines of a 40 yr. old condo.at this time I don't know how it will be on energy consumption , but I think it will be ok and probably less than the one before . Whirlpool will be the one to prove itself in the future.

EASY TO INSTALL, FAST RECOVERY
MY OLD WATER HEATER A KENMORE INSTALLED 1998 WAS A SINGLE ELEMENT, WORKED OK BUT TEMP RECOVERY TIME WAS LOSEY.
THIS WATER HEATER WAS EASY TO INSTALL, CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS. THE TEMP. RECOVERY TIME IS GREAT. I GIVE THIS WATERHEATER 5 STARS.
