Very easy to install alone. It is actually more compact in size to the hot water heater it replaced, yet the same water capacity.

look out for crud on threads
PRO- Product seems to work fine.
Was not difficult to install... having put in several water heaters over the years.
Standard quality, except...
CON- Threads for plumbing water lines had some form of grit in them. I attempted to clean with a wire brush and compressed air... one still leaked. I will have to travel back to HW store and re-buy the necessary plumbing then drain water in home again... the remove and reinstall line.

Installation manual could be improved
Installation was performed by myself per the instructions. After completing the installation the heater did not heat after applying power to the unit. At this point your instruction say to hire a qualified expert to determine the problem.
Using a volt/ohm meter I determined that 240 volts was supplied to the unit and both heating elements were good. At that point I discovered that the energy cut off button was popped. After resetting the ECO the problem was solved.Had I followed your instruction I would have called in an expert which would have eliminated all saving which was the whole point of a do it yourself instalation.

Since installing this product that is half the size of my original water heater, it is doing it's job well. It was a great value. If you want it to "last longer" like the more expensive ones, just buy the $50 add on warranty from the store instead of the more expensive water heater.
