This product is easy to install and works great! My last water heater was the same Whirpool water heater but it started spilling water every where on the basement floor one month after moving into my new home. The previous owners neglected to care for it or soften the water going through it. The water heater clogged up with lime and half of the heating element died. Even though the previous water heater was a whirpool that spilled water every where......it was 12 years old. However, this new water heater was easy to install and began to heat the water in no time! I would totally recommend this product. If cared for correctly this product has potential to last a long time. November 16, 2012

The features of this unit are great. This water heater is great. It heated the water very quick. I did increase the heat temperature to the140 degrees as instruction stated that I could. My wife and I are the only ones living in this house, so I did not believe it would be dangerous on hurting someone. April 20, 2014
affordable My hot water heater is upstairs. it was a job getting it up the stairs and in the tight fitting closet. I plumbed it in, allowed two hours for the glue to cure and turned the water on just to have the drain valve leak after it was full. I should have returned it but I would have to lug another one up the stairs. I had to cut the water lines loose to turn it enough to replace the drain valve. After re plumbing it and wiring it up, it seems to work fine. Just one of the side effects of cutting cost. April 19, 2014
Overall great product Wish T&P valve was still top middle as old unit, had to redesign drain pipe, but if relocation of valve is for the better, than its worth it. April 19, 2014
easy to install easy installation minimal tools required buy the install kit follow instruction in manual April 19, 2014
Company stands behind product!! Gives the amount of HOT water I want!!!! Also whirlpool stands behind their product. A co-worker was telling me about her experience with a frigadaire product that started making a loud noise when operating after owning it only 1 year. Workers came to her home replaced the motor and she still has problems with it . It was hard to believe that after her buying all new appliances the company brushed her off so easily. THANK YOU for making good PRODUCTS and standing behind them also. April 18, 2014
Average features Features compare to other brands in this price line. Final rating will depend on how long it lasts compared to the one I did have. Not sure about pricing. Will wait and see if quality equals price. April 16, 2014
good for a house with two bathrooms great waterheater for a home with two bathrooms the 40 gallons keeps the water hot with long showers. plus three females who use more then there fair share of hot water April 15, 2014
a good product, it heats water. this is a good product, if you have a well system that purges with salt, do not use galvanized nipples of the heater, they will be eaten up. I have experienced this for above 30 yrs. Also it may void the warranty (such as it is) remove the rod & saw it off & return the hex head bolt back in it's place. This rod creates an oily film in the water. April 15, 2014
