We will see
Installation was fairly easy. Water gets cooler after 4 or 5 minutes in shower-may have bad lower thermostat.

Value per gallon capacity is excellent.
Standard lowboy water heater (I formerly worked for Rheem), but the capacity is great for the minimal increase in diameter.
The price is good too. Just installed - so, too early to comment on energy savings, overall quality, reliability etc.

Fits where I needed it.
I got a lot more hot water by turning the temperatere to 135 F.
2 Bathroom/3 Bedroom home. Can take a long shower and do some laundry. Recovers fast.
I was trying to fit it into a cabinet and I have the option of placing the temp/pressure relief valve on the top...but the plug on it was on so hard, it won't come loose, and I am a very strong man!

Simple to install
None at this time, maybe later when I see a decrease in my electric bill.

has good reputation
Water heater was as described, but had a dent along the top/side seam. I was told by the installer that it would not affect the performance of the heater. The box it came in was not smashed, so it most of happened at the factory.prior to delivery. The installers did an excellent job and were very professional.

Easy installation, good supply of hot water.
My plumber found this water heater easy to install in our laundry room without having to change any electrical or plumbing connections. It replaced a previous Low Boy style water heater - which the previous owner did not drain the calcium deposits every 6 months like you are supposed to -- and as a result the previous water heater had so much calcium deposit in it that one of the heating elements burned out, and the hot water flow was severely diminished - which lasted only about 5 minutes at a time. So far this new unit is supplying plenty of hot water to a 3 bedroom, 2 and one half bathroom house for 2 people. This water heater comes with a 6 year warranty - but I also purchased an additional 5 year warranty for peace of mind. So far so good.

So far so good but too soon to tell
At first the water only stayed hot for about 10 minutes and I thought I had a bad element. The plumber came back and tested and apparently the thermostat tripped. He pushed the button to reset and I hope that solves the issue. This is for a vacation home. I do leave the heat on all winter long but for now since I am gone for a few weeks, I turned the main water supply off.
When I get back there, I will see if the thermostat is ok or did it trip again. I replaced an older heater which worked flawlessly and gave me plenty of hot water but it was time just due to being proactive to replace before an issue arose. But I am hoping I didn't replace a model that worked great with one that I will have issues. Time will tell. For now I am hoping the Whirlpool does what it should.
