Post Install Early Review Per my plumber, this unit was easy to install. The pipe fittings were in a standard location, so that was less laborous. The electrical hook-up was on the top of the unit, which was a vast improvement over the old unit. The temp controls are very easy to access by the homeowner as well. After researching several "squat" type water heaters, this unit proved to be the best value for the dollar in its' class. I'm hoping it lowers my energy bill... April 16, 2013
EASE OF INSTALLATION THE AVERAGE HOME OWNER CAN INSTALL THIS WATERHEATER IN A FEW HOURS. February 21, 2013
Very Straight Forward Installation Instructions Purchased this 46.5 Gal. Lowboy electric water to replace a Whirlpool 38 Gal. Lowboy electric water heater that was 9 years old. Old water developed an unnoticed leak at the bottom heating element. Rusted to the point it could not be removed to replaced. Regular servicing would have prevented this problem. Other than that water was working fine. Decided was perfect time to install a larger one of same configuration - only difference is 2" larger diameter. Did need to raise the thermostates from factory settings - too get hotter than WARM water. Purchased from Lowe's with a 10% Veteran discount, so price was Very Acceptable. February 8, 2013
Great features, reliable product name. Just got it, but glad Whirlpool is known to be a quality product, and therefore expect excellent performance. January 29, 2013
It works Can't really review yet as only had installed last week! Only thing I can say at this point is that we have hot water! January 21, 2013
Pray it last longer than last one I have been a home owner for 31 years. My water heater in under the house. I was 28 when I built my home. I didn't know better. I wish no one to deal with a heater under the house. January 16, 2013
Heater has great capacity works good we have hot water! Easy to install by lowes. Would buy again if need be. October 8, 2012
Get S#s before installer leaves We had to hire a teen to go under the house to get the S# and model #. It would have been so much easier if the installer would have a pull off sticker in addition to the permanent one that stays on the heater that he could give the home owner. September 28, 2012
Reasonably priced I justed had it installed, it has a six year warrenty, which I extended with Lowes whwere I purchaed it. It fit well under the house and was fairly easy to install. September 22, 2012
Works good It was a good price and fit well. The installers were good and cleaned up well August 28, 2012
