love the digital temperture device
I am really confident with the use of whirlpool products. I also have a whirlpool washer and dryer and dishwater. I have been very satisfied with the durability of said products.

Could be designed for multiple use
Most manufactured homes have the inlet and outlets on the side at the top and bottom. If I were the designer manufacturer of water heaters I would design them with both top and side plumbing ports.
I had to do a bunch of re plumbing of the inlet/outlet water lines in my home, or I would have had to wait a week or more to get a water heater with side plumbing as they are special order.
Can't comment on weather it lowered/raised energy bill, or weather it is reliable or not, as it was just installed today.
You should send a survey out a year after purchase in order to answer these.

This product is easy to install.
The instructions with the water heater are simple and easy to follow. The heater has great features and potential for future enhancements if "smart grid" ever comes to NY. I am pleased with the lower stainless steel element. It should extend the life of the heater. The Whirlpool heater this one replaced was almost ten years old and I expect to get the same results or better with this upgrade. :)\ )

There are at least three different fastener sizes/styles used on the electrical contol junction box on the top. And the fasteners are not stainless steel: not good in a wet environment.
The hole for the wire conduit fitting does not provide sufficient room below the retaining nut to allow (3) #12 wires to be easily positioned for connection to the heater.
That said, overall the unit was well designed and straight forward to install. We particularly like the control system and the detailed instruction manual. And extremely important to us, it was made in the USA.
