40 Gallon Electric Water Heater - ES40R92-45D
I was successful at installing a water heater by myself for the first time.
The installation video gave me confidence that I could do the install myself. The instructions that were enclosed re-affirmed that. The help-line steered me in the right direction.

Water heater is only 9 days old, so this is a preliminary review. It has excellent features and a longer warranty for only a few dollars more than the lesser 40 gal. model. It is Smart Grid compatible, so when OG+E adopts that function, I'll save more money under Time Of Use electricity billing currently in place at my home.
This unit is quiet, digitally controlled and simple to use. We will see how it works over time as months unfold.

I like the fact that I can control the temperature with ease as to not have to worry about burning the grandkids.

This product is quality improved for economy cost usage
I have had to increase the thermostat from the standard temperature of 120 degrees to 130 because of the plumbing arrangement to distribute enough hot water for dish washer, clothes and shower usage, but I expect to decrease the temperature after some time for the system to regulate the water distribution. Over all I am very satisfied with this product.

I bought this heater for its ease of use,the control pad in the front that is.you can control it without taking it apart if your water isn't hot enough,I like that. And other things that can be done with that control pad.and its energy star product,I like that too.I think it might be worth the extra money you have to pay for it,Its a little early too tell right now but I hope.

This water heater is a replacement of my last Whirlpool water
I got more life out of my last one that I ever did with water heaters I have had in the past. This one has extra features that I like as well as a longer warranty. It plumbed right in as if it was a direct replacement. I expect years of trouble free service from this one as I did in the past in spite of my hard water.

Controllable water heater
A nice looking unit with computer like controls to easily adjust temperature settings. Also has an energy saving feature that "learns" our hot water use times and thus can lower water temperature when hot water use is dormant. Also has a "vacation " setting to turn water down to only sixty degrees when away from the home. We are away for six months at a time so the "vacation" feature will be very useful.

Appliance has good large digital read out for heat and easy to install
So far, this product appears to be very nice. It went in fairly easily. The only things we wish had been different, was that in the enclosed area we put it, the discharge faucet is right on the front and if you turn it one way, something else sticks out and if you turn it the other, something else is out in front so we basically had to re-build the cabinet to make it fit. They don't make tall slim water heaters any more. They are now short and wide. Other than that, it was a good buy and has a nine year warranty, which isn't so great since our last water heater lasted 28 years.
