Excellent design and performance
I am impressed with the design, operational ease, and quality of this unit. It is a good match for install compatibility.

Just put it in, but easy install and nice features
I can only comment on the visuals at this point, since it has only been installed a few hours. But, the installation was very easy, it fit the location and piping of the unit it replaced with very little effort. Just had to relocate the pipe for the pressure release valve, but that was straight forward.
I like the controls on the unit, in particular the "vacation" mode.
The 12 year warranty makes the unit a good value for me.
I would however prefer a ball valve for a drain valve on a water heater to make flushing the unit easier and less prone to clogging.
This unit is 4" larger in diameter and two inches taller than the one it replaced, which should mean that it is much better insulated, so I anticipate lower energy cost. Time will tell on that.

THIS PRODUCT WAS AN EASY CHOICE
this is a handsome product that suits my use well in the utility room. That is easy to use and hook up. I do not know about the longgevity as it has only been in use for app. a week. The pan i purchased should have been larger as it just fits and possibly a leak sensor for leaks would be a good option to include on the product.

Seems excellent thus far.
I haven't had the water heater installed a full day yet, but it seems to be functioning very well. I like the temperature control on the electronic control panel and that it should display specific codes for specific problems which may arise. The water heater has a 12 year warranty plus I have an additional 11 year warranty from the place of purchase.

Good product I like made in USA
I Install for Sears, and I chose Whirpool heater for myself and at this time , 11 days since I installed my heater I am very pleased with My new Whirlpool Water Heater!

Beautiful and simplistic design
I shopped several water heaters (WH) and I knew instantly that this WH was different. The value for the money far exceeded what a GE model or others had to offer. I installed it myself and the directions for installation were VERY clear and concise.

I like the user friendly instrument panel. There appears to have been considerable thoght put into the ergonomics for this product.
