80 Gallon Electric Water Heater - ES80H123-45D
This product has all I want from a water heater
The 80 gal capacity provides plenty of hot water for walk in tub without running out of hot water for other things and the digital display controls make it easy to change desired temperature level with the push of the finger.

Water heater has basic features and more advanced features
Our old hot water heater of 11+ yrs started to leak and I located this unit as a valid replacement for our existing unit. The cost of it and installation of it wasn't bad. I actually installed it with a family member who has done this type of installation before.
I would recommend this as it has the standard features that you can use if you just want a standard hot water heater. But it also has more advanced features that give you the option for more energy efficiency, ...

Excellent for family of 5
With a family of 5, we elected to upgrade from a 40 gallon unit to an 80 gallon unit. Couldn't be happier. Screen interface is great. Easy to set up.

Overall product works well and easy to use.
When we first installed the water heater we had water periodically coming our of the blow-off valve. Not large amounts but something that shouldn't have been happening. Had my plumber install an expansion tank on unit and the problem stop, no more water on floor!!

Initial opinion is very good
The initial opinion is very good. The ease of installation was appreciated. The new unit has many good features that I hope will make for better use of energy. The HMI is intuitive and easy to work with. The price of the product is a little high, but as of now that is my only complaint. We will see how durable the heater is with time. I would recommend the product to a friend.

Too early to know about quality or reliability. Installation was easy once the unit was in place.
Still too early to evaluate quality or reliability. Installation was fairly easy (electric unit). Nice looking appliance.
Only issue was getting Lowes to deliver to point of use and to take the old unit away. We specifically asked about this at time of purchase and were assured they would place it at the point of use and would take the old unit away provided it was drained. Everything turned out to be a battle with the delivery person - to the point of nearly having to call the store and cancel the purchase. We did complain afterwards to the store, but the manager didn't appear to be at all interested. Unfortunately, this experience has left a very bad taste towards Lowes. At least they could have pretended to care.

Like a typical electric hwh. Easy to install. The cpu module is user friendly and easy to use. My wife looked at it for 5 seconds and figured it out.

nice features, digital display is a nice touch, stainless heating elements nice too
It was easy to install. It is well insulated. It is pretty heavy (over 200 lbs) without water. I don't like pre-installed nipples. I should be able to install brass nipples if I want without having to take off the junk stock ones. Also know that it has check valves in both hot and cold nipples. If you have a heat generation system that pre-warms inlet water into the water heater, check valves will have to be removed.

plenty of hot water
i can finally take a bath without running out of hot water!! we had a 46 gallon that just wouldnt let me take a hot bath, even tho it wasnt that old. so we bought this 80 gallon, so when we had guests we would be sure to have enough hot water. we havent had guests yet, but im thrilled to be able to take a hot bath again!! i gave it 4 stars on value, more for installation than the price of the hot water heater itself. i had no idea it cost so much for one of these things to be installed!!

The water heater came with a plastic drain valve that leaks and needed replaced. Then the pressure relief valve leaks once in a while so that needs replaced.
