easy to install Was not difficult to install or set up. Seems to be working great. Lots of hot water. Will look at energy bill after we have used it a while. April 22, 2015
Troubleshooting Light is Nice So far so good on the operation of this unit - the flashing light on the control panel may prove handy someday if anything goes wrong. However, the relative energy rating on this unit is at the extreme high end and I wonder if the rather aggressive pilot light might be a contributor (is this to generate enough electricity to power that indicator light?). Install was a bit more challenging because my old unit had a top exit T&P valve and this one a side one that was lower than my through-wall drain pipe - had to build a platform to mount the unit higher. Lots of opinions out there on dielectric nipples / unions to copper pipe; then there are sharkbite and other flexible alternatives. I finally went with dielectric unions but am wondering if the alternatives might be easier and better way to go. April 4, 2015
U-get free Tech-support,Product Information This unit is so easy to insall,It 's about 1/2hr job January 31, 2015
its a water heater it takes normal tap water, and makes it warm or hot, depends what you set it at. Again, its a water heater. December 25, 2014
Easy to install, only minor sodering required My old water heater had the relief valve connected to the top of the unit. The new one is located on the side. I used most of the existing copper pipe to re-route the line. I experienced some minor leaking from the top(coming from hot/cold inlets), which was caused because I did not use plumber's putty initially. I reassembled these connections using both teflon paste and tape and it is now leak free. December 18, 2014
Great product so I searched and found the same one and bought it. Altho the WH I had B-4 was the same WH as this one only under a different name and mod. # it's the same unit as my previous WH. For 14 years the 1st WH operated great and never at 1 time ran low of hot water. Love the 1st one and expect to rely on at least 14 more years of trouble free hot water !!! September 3, 2014
Ease of installation We replaced our existing whirlpool water heater with this new one, it went in like a dream took us about an hour total. So far, so good. August 25, 2014
