Great features
I've only had this water heater for 1 day, but it is working fine and puts out some really hot water. I have other Whirlpool products as well and have enjoyed them.

Really Like The Size
I have HOT water so happy :)
Its been 2 weeks that I had my handy man play w/ the water heater to avoid purchasing one. Well it died so I had to buy one. The price was higher than I expected to spend esp right at the Holiday. However overall I am pleased would recommend this product to future customers.

It does as designed
Installation was a snap. I,m not really big on the control(I like old school stuff). So far working ok, pilot lite up and I've got hot water. Thats all I can ask of my water heater.

great warranty
We returned the gas water heater # BFG1F303053/SERIAL #0825T414348 because of leak in bottom. Replaced it with N303561-303. Certainly appreciate the way whirlpool stands behind their warranty

Decent heater
Installation went well except for needing 1/2 inch by 4 inch steel pipe to hook up the supply and output water connections. Older water heater had male connectors that the supply lines would have connected right up to. This installation afforded me the opportunity to install a gas shutoff for the heater the previous installer had not done 12 years ago.
The controller is slick utilizing a Thermcouple/Thermopile element which utlizes the heat from the pilot to power the electronic control module which saved me having to install a 120V electical outlet near the unit. Lighting the unit was easy and instructions were clear. Good job Whirlpool engineering!

So far, so good. It's only been 2 days so we'll see if we save any money for getting a 30 gal. as opposed to our old 40 gal.
For just the 2 of us we thought a 30 gal water heater would be just fine. Time will tell, of course.
