This product was very easy to install. I like the exectronic ingnition. I just installed this product yesterday. The water heater was easy to install. I like the electronic ignition. After we use the heater, we could give you a better review. April 12, 2014
Quick recovery This product replaced a previous leaking heater that also rotted the floor before it was discovered. I had to replace the floor and also installed a rubber membrane with a vinyl baseboard to eliminate a future problem. March 26, 2014
last whirlpool water heater My last water heater was a whirlpool and it lasted just six years and seven months. It started leaking just below the drain valve, also it had a problem with the thermocouple and I was sent a whole new burner. The leak problem happen just after it went out of warranty. The only reason I bought whirlpool again is because of time and Lowes is close . I hope this one will last more than 6 years. March 24, 2014
like easy ignition system overall very good. only ding would be the old hot water tank was quieter than the new. old was 40 gal. new was 30 gal. March 13, 2014
Easy Install This installation was the easiest I've ever done. Having all the proper fittings etc. this was a breeze. Best of all, It "fired" right up. From purchase to "hot water" in less than 3 hours for a novice like myself. March 1, 2014
This has provided durability. I am thankful for my brand new water heater from whirlpool. The old water heater had seen better days. I am excited to see the effects from having a whirlpool water heater. February 8, 2014
great product easy install, very affordable everyone should have a whirlpool appliance in there home February 6, 2014
Size difference This model is shorter and has a larger circumference than our previous water heater. It was almost too large for the space plus additional exhaust pipe had to be purchased in order to extend from the top of the new model to the outside vent pipe. But it is quiet while operating which is a blessing. Our old heater was making a rather disturbing clanging sound when heating. February 3, 2014
Good quality and good price Installed myself in less than three hours. Everything I needed was included. Pilot lit on first try and has been operating great since. December 30, 2013
Nice, clean design, easy to operate and change settings. My +60 year old apt needs updating and the +12 gas water heater finally gave out with no-notice - crisis management! The Whirlpool short 30 gal WH replaced the old, tall standard size previous unit, which has proved to be adequate for renter needs; however, I should've chosen the 40 gal unit for the better price. The challenge was to bring things up to code, and adjust for the height reduction and increased diameter, not just a simple swap out job. Once things were prepped, installation and setting up the unit went very smoothly, fired up easily, quickly heated up, and performed as designed. Note, at the time of purchase, I asked the store assistant about an installation kit and what was needed, I was told there wasn't one, and only copper water lines were suggested, but parts were needed. Yet the manual I opened after purchase showed that there is indeed an install kit supposed to be a available in that store chain. So, after +$165 for parts (braided hoses, nipples, new gas: shutoff valve/adapter/flex line, gas & water Teflon tapes, vent pipes...) and extra, unanticipated challenges, and immediate need/time constraints, I hired a plumber who completed the rough-in and final installation. With the improved technology and safe guards, I look forward to the improved lowered energy costs and peace of mind. December 18, 2013
