Easy to Install easy to install - 9 year warranty hope I don't need it August 15, 2014
easy to install and start This water heater was easy to light up and adjust. I liked the simplicity of getting heater fired up and running. August 12, 2014
Quality Control My water heater went out on a Sunday morning. I purchased a new one at Lowe's. No problem with the installation until it filled. Then I discovered a leak on the inlet valve coming from the new heater. I turned everything off and disconnected the heat nipple where the leak appeared to be coming from and rewrapped new Teflon tape around the nipple again. I reconnected the inlet water and turned on the water again. It still leaked. I have installed many water heaters in my time so I new the product was defective. The water was exiting from the outside of the factory installed inlet, not the threads. I purchased another new heater from Lowe's just like the first and that one works fine. I went through a lot of trouble in reference to that bad inlet valve due to poor QUALITY CONTROL on the side of the manufacture. I did purchase the extended warranty so I won't have to go through this again if this one has a failure elsewhere on the unit. I am curious how long the status light will flash with the pilot on and if it will at least last as long as the 9 year warranty. We'll see. August 11, 2014
This is a great product This is our 2nd Whirlpool Water heater, we had the last one for about 12 years. The one we purchased this time we are confident it will last that long as well July 29, 2014
good product easier than I though for installation. good installation instructions. July 13, 2014
This product has been around for a long time We had purchased a simular one when we first bought our home and it has worked and served us well. Whirlpool is a good name brand and has been around for years. Their products can be trusted. July 6, 2014
Easy Installation This water heater was pretty easy to install. I replaced the original unit built in 1979. That thing lasted forever but started leaking so i picked up a whirlpool after reading lots of reviews. The only problem I had was the vent pipe not fitting easily over the vent, so i had to modify to get it to work. The only other thing I would say is they should supply the nipples for the water connections on top. Otherwise, so far so good! July 6, 2014
Updated Features I like the updated features such as the electronic starter and the new air filter which is easily cleaned. The status light is also very handy. July 4, 2014
???Easy to install How am I supposed to write a review (or recommend it) when I've only had it for 2 days? June 19, 2014
Looks better then the old one Did not like the fact, this water heater and others have the pressure relief valve on the side now. Had to replumb the drain line that goes into the wall, so the pressure relief valve will be higher then the drain line. My old water heater had the pressure relief valve on the top, with a easy shot to the drain line going into the wall. June 2, 2014
