Gas water heater that is very easy to install...
From the store to the job being completed it only took around 2 1/2 hours, and thats counting removing the old water heater. After filling the water heater with water I lite the pilot light and around an hour later we had HOT water. Thank you Whirlpool for making such a great product that is easy to install. ***** STARS

Great features at a low price
I have only had this water heater installed for 1 day so I can only give you my opinion on why I selected this Brand & Model. First off the warranty states 6years tank 6years parts, the parts being warrantied for 6years was a plus for me as I had read several reviews on other brands and if it was anything other than the tank falied it was only covered for 1-2 years if that. My only complaint is that you have to purchase your own supply and exit nipples. the installation was straight forward with a nice installation instruction sheet. It was very quick to heat the first 50 gallons and so far so good and lighting it was very easy. I will update this review in the future if any problems arise but I hope I don't have to. I would recommend this model and brand to others.

The product has some good features
I liked the ease to light the w heater .The heater I replaced was almost 17 yrs old. After we had the old one out, I inspected it and it looked like it could have gone a couple more yrs. The installation did not go smoothly. I had to go back for parts at Lowes. The water intake line on top were below the surface of the tank, I had to purchase nipples to extend the connection so I could connect the inflow (cold water line and the exit hot water line. After 3 visits to the store ,we finally got it connected.we will have to wait a few months to see how efficiant it is.

This product has great features
Bought this after our old gas water heater broke, this water heater was the least expensive 50 gal. gas model we could find and I'm happy to say it far exceeded our expectations! It has an igniter button which ours didn't and some of the more expensive ones we looked at didn't either, it is so nice! I hated having to hold a lighter while crouched down peering into the bottom of the water heater with gas flowing all around! Much safer this way! The status light is also a bonus, if you think your water heater has issues the blinking light can help you diagnose the problem. Also love the VAC (vacation) setting, if you are going out of town it adjusts the setting to 55 degrees so it's not heating the water all the time you are gone, but keeps it warm enough to prevent freezing. We bought a round metal pan to put under ($10), we didn't have one before and when our old one broke it leaked all over! We haven't had it long enough to know if it will lower our energy bill, it's been installed less than 1 month.`````````````

Great Performance for price!
I can't say how happy I am that I was able to afford a great system. With how economy is and how we try to strecth our dollors as much as we could. This unit gave me all that I was looking for at a great price and I haven't been disappointed with the performance.
