easilly installs and operates It is very reliable and easy to install and quick to operate June 28, 2015
We like the Vacation setting Since this water heater is new, I really don't feel like I can rate it yet but it went in with ease and the installer did it in approximately one hour. June 16, 2015
Excellent product I bought this product after 16 years of original heater (still in great condition) as I do not want my house to be flooded like few of my friends. After checking several brands I decided to go with Whirlpool with 9 year warranty. June 13, 2015
Good procuct for the price. Easy install, simple to use, have had good service with whirlpool products in the past and think this will be the same. I had a plumber at my house for other work, so he helped me install, but I would have done it myself if he had not been there. May 27, 2015
a good product simple and easy to install and match my old product May 18, 2015
very good purchase n easy install DIY This was a very good purchase n easy install DIY for a first timer. No issue found in last 90 days. May 16, 2015
This is a reliabe product Easy to install and has a great appealing appearance Whirlpool is known for it's long lasting products June 27, 2015
Respect for Whirpool products diminished. The unit being registered this date (5/12/15, installed 5/11/15) is a replacement unit for a Whirlpool water heater purchased/installed in late October, 2011 (3 years, 6.5 months)! The reason for the severely shortened replacement timeframe is that the water heater replaced began leaking and filling the drip pan. There was almost a full bucket of water in the pan when we heard the water leaking. I am grateful that these units have a 9 year warranty but I am highly disappointed that the short amount of time noted above would allow this water heater to have the issue also noted herein. I had great luck with another of these previously I bought another of these units because of my experiences with the one we put in the house we sold last year. Install was straight forward and simple. June 21, 2015
Easy to install & easy to operate Installed this new basic water heater myself three days ago. Bought this water heater to replace another brand that didn't last through its limited warranty. The Whirlpool water heater was easy to install, BUT you do need to buy dielectric heat trap nipples for installation - they do not come with the water heater. Lighting the pilot was very easy - the easiest of any water heater I've owned in my life because there is a flashing light that indicates its on. The burner in this water heater is louder than my old water heater. In a quiet house, I could hear the burner in my dining room which is not above the water heater in the basement. Overall, it was easy to install and operate. As for recommended maintenance, I don't think anybody is going to remove the rod and inspect it at six months or anytime afterward. They should figure out a way to handle corrosion differently. May 5, 2015
