50 Gallon Natural Gas Water Heater - ND50T122-403
Our old water heater broke down after 20+ years and we were looking to upgrade to a slightly larger tank with features to better manage the heating level of the water. This model has fulfilled that perfectly.

Good value for 12 year warranty
Good value for 12 year warranty. I have only had it installed for a day, can't really comment on much. Took me about 3 hours to remove old water heater and install new one.
One thing to note: threaded water in/out is a bit recessed. I have 1/2" copper throughout the house. I couldn't grab the head of the threaded copper adapter to really torque it in as tight as I would have liked. I had to use a monkey wrench on the 1/2" copper.
Remember, NEVER sweat directly to a fitting connected to the water in/out. There are non-metallic components that you'll melt through and render the tank useless. Sweat your connection first, then attach to tank.

Needed to replace my 15 year old water heater and researched all the options. This Whirlpool was the best choice offering features, warranty and value. Installation was easy as well. I really like the electric ignition, eliminating the pilot light.

Excellent value, fair retail price.
This is a replacement for an existing 50 gallon, 12-year old water heater. Purchased through Lowes and installed by their contractor, the entire process was straight forward and professional. Installers were timely and quickly installed. We have plenty of hot water!

Easy to operate
In Texas, we have this odd building practice of putting water heaters in the attic. It was a bear getting a 170 lb heater up there. But the good news is once it was there it was a breeze to setup and with no pilot light to start it was breeze to get going. Had to find the right exhaust vent lengths but other than that very satified that this will bring peace of mind for years to come.
